Welcome to the Peer Mentor Program!

Welcome to Rutgers University-Camden! On behalf of the all of the faculty and staff of the Camden campus, congratulations on your admission to Rutgers. We know you will sincerely enjoy your time here. 

The Peer Mentor Program was developed to focus on the needs of new undergraduate students at the Camden Campus.  You will be receiving e-mails and phone calls from the peer mentor assigned to you.  Your peer mentor will be able to provide you with assistance as you navigate through your first year at Rutgers-Camden.   Your participation can be as minimal or involved as you wish, the decision is yours.  However, research has proven that peer mentor relationships significantly increase student satisfaction and increase academic success, so why not try the program out?

Peer Mentors are upper classmen students here at RU-Camden hired to assist mentees (the new undergraduate student) in:

- Creating a sense of belonging within our community
- Encouraging academic success
- Encouraging campus involvement through planning, implementing, and referring programs
- Being a source of information, assistance and motivation
